Staking Discipline: Why 1-2% Beats Chasing Every Time
The single biggest difference between members who last a season and members who last a month is not pick quality. It is stake sizing.
We publish win rates openly because they are the honest measure of a prediction service. What we cannot publish is the thing that actually decides whether a member finishes the season ahead: how they stake.
Flat staking survives variance
Even an 80% strike rate produces losing runs of four or five. At a flat 1-2% of bankroll, that run costs you under 10%. At 20% stakes, the same run ends your bankroll.
Chasing converts a bad day into a bad month
Doubling after a loss feels like recovery. Mathematically it is a bet that variance owes you something. It does not.
Review weekly, not hourly
A single match is noise. Twenty matches is a signal. Judge the picks — and your own discipline — on the sample, never on the session.
Treat every prediction as information, not a promise.
